Michael Robin Dillard says
Barbara Humbles was a wonderful spouse, lover and friend to my father for the last 45 years. She was also a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to my sister and I, her three grandchildren, and her four great grandchildren. They meant everything to her. She would listen to whatever you had to say. If she disagreed with you, she would tell you but then give some wonderful advice.
She enjoyed the simple things in life. This included being with her family & doing things together. I remember going to Florida when we were little and having fun. She also liked going camping, not in a tent but in a camper. Mom liked watching smack down on Mondays & Fridays, CSI and any shows on Sci-fi channel. She also liked doing word puzzles and sitting in her chair, knitting. I believe we all have a blanket that she made.
She was a caring and thoughtful person. Mom always thought of others before herself. I know that she would want us to continue in our lives and to remember that she loved each and every one of us. She is in a better place now, where there is no pain or suffering of any kind. Where there are streets of gold and angels all around.
Our final message to her would be, we love you very much and will miss you. You are and always will be a part of our lives no matter where we go or end up. Thank you for being such a wonderful spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend.
